Where are you based?

We have offices in Dartford and Medway, however our large fleet means we have active vehicles all over the UK and Europe.

What time do you open?

We are open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty five days a year.

How are you different from a traditional parcel carrier?

We are a same day courier company so we send a dedicated vehicle to collect and deliver your goods. We do not send consignments into an overnight hub or distribution centre. Our services are perfect for time critical, door to door deliveries.

I’d like to get a quote, what information do I need to provide?

In order to get a quote we will need to know the collection postcode, the delivery postcode, expected timings and size of vehicle required. When booking a job further information my requested, but for the purpose of a quote this information is sufficient.

Can I travel in the vehicle with my goods?

Unfortunately we do not have the relevant licences or insurance for this. However, you can track the progress of your job via our website.

How can I pay?

We accept all major credit cards and Paypal. In addition, we can also accept payment via cheque and BACS for our account holders. If you would like to open an account with GJS please download our application form here. We only accept payment in GBP

Are my goods insured?

Most goods are covered by our courier Goods In Transit policy. Some goods however, such as jewellery and cash are not. If your goods are of high value, please let us know at the time of booking. For details about insurance limits can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

How long will it take?

Depending on the collection postcode, we will attempt to have a vehicle along to collect within 60 minutes of booking. Once our courier has collected the goods he will travel direct to the delivery address so it depends on the traffic conditions at the time. Our Controllers will update you if a traffic incident is going to delay your delivery.

How much will it cost?

Our system will generate a quote based on the mileage from the collection postcode to the delivery postcode using a tariff based on the vehicle that you require. Additional costs may apply, for example if the job occurs outside of business hours, but these will be explained at the time of booking the job.

How do I know when my goods have been delivered?

As long as you provide us with an email address at the time of booking, you will receive an email proof of delivery notification a couple of seconds after your delivery has been made.

Are you able to deliver to Crossrail sites?

It will depend on the actual site and vehicle required, but we are a FORS registered company which is essential for deliveries to Crossrail sites.

I don’t want my customer to know that the goods were collected from a third party, can you help?

No problem at all, please just explain this when the job is being booked.

Can I book with GJS if I don’t have an account?

Yes indeed. Non account customers may pay by credit card for same day bookings.


What size vehicle do I require?

This will of course depend on the size of your consignment. In order to figure out which vehicle is best for you, check out our fleet page.


Is there a weight limit?

Each of our vehicles will have a specific weight limit per consignment. Check out our Fleet pages for more information. It is all always a good idea to confirm the weight of your consignment when booking the job.
